At the B1 level, learners become independent users of French. This course is designed to improve fluency and enable learners to manage longer, more complex interactions in school, work, and social settings. Learners begin to express their opinions, narrate experiences, and understand conversations on familiar topics with growing confidence.
At this level, you will learn important grammar topics such as the imperfect tense, conditional mood, relative pronouns, and advanced connectors to make your speech and writing more natural. Your vocabulary will expand to include themes like education, leisure, travel, technology, and media. In reading, you will work with magazine articles, interviews, stories, and short reports to improve comprehension. Writing practice will focus on essays, summaries, letters of application, and personal narratives. For listening, you will engage with TV or radio programs, guided conversations, and social dialogues. In speaking, you will practice narrating past events, giving reasons and explanations, and debating everyday topics with confidence.
